CHINESE FOOD

Now for those reading this you must have already tasted this exquisite cuisine, if not, get out of your chair and go look for a Chinese restaurant near you!. Chinese Food is the topic I have chosen because I like this type of food has really endeared itself to me. If you continue reading, I hope that the next 6 paragraphs you read will interest you and give you new ideas and a new point of view about Chinese food.

Did you know that most people before didn’t have different varieties of restaurants to choose from? Now, people around the world can at least have an experience of this cuisine by looking for a Chinese recipe in the internet or by asking someone they know for a place to eat Chinese cuisine. People before didn’t have the luxury we have today. To experience food from other places, they would have to go there just to have a taste of their food. Today, we are fortunate for having this modern technology that allows us to share information faster because of the internet. We should be thankful that today, we have restaurants around us that actually originated in other countries.

So where did Chinese cuisine come from? The answer is quite obvious, China but what most people don’t know is that it wasn’t just China that gave a say in Chinese cuisine. It was also influenced also by other south-eastern Asia countries. You didn’t know that before did you? We now know where Chinese cuisine came from. It wasn’t only from China but a group effort from other south eastern Asia countries.

It’s my first time to write a blog and I can say that I have done a lot of research about Chinese Cuisine, its traditions and origins. According to a “travelguideinChina.com”, you should not eat directly when a person is greeting you or else they would feel disrespected and will cause displeasure. People in China have a tradition that the elders should have the best food presented to them first. This is to show the Chinese value of respect

When you think about Chinese food or cuisine chopsticks can’t be far away from your mind. Chopsticks look simple but don’t let your eyes deceive you it is actually hard. Like they say “simple but complex”. Chopsticks have been used by the Chinese and other countries for a long time now.  Did you know chopsticks make you smarter because of the muscles and joints used when using it? Smart, huh?

In China, Chinese cuisine is also evident in special occasions. For example, in birthdays they usually serve noodles in order to symbolize the longetivity of Chinese life. When a father learns that he is going to have a son he will serve red boiled eggs to his family and friends. Also in some Chinese holidays they would have food that is in the theme of that holiday. Chinese are so creative with their food. What type of food would you symbolize for  a specific holiday in your country?

This is now the end of what I have to say. I am thankful that you have read this whole article about Chinese food. I hope that you have learned something new and found what you were looking for when you clicked on this blog. Thanks for reading and have  a nice day!

Hobbies and Interests

I am a normal person and like any normal person I have interests and thing that I love to do in my downtime. Everyone must have a hobby or interest that keeps us busy. When a person is doing nothing or has no interests, he or she has nothing fun or great going on in their lives. It also makes us happy. If I didn't have any hobbies or interests I probably would be so so sad.

Interest is a very powerful feeling that can determine or affect a person. My interest in learning something new has always been a good way to understand it and not just memorize something. Interest also determines the way people act. Whenever I am in a public place I wouldn't notice something if I didn't find it interesting, the same goes for all people. Interest is a very very strong emotion.

In my opinion we wouldn't be alive if there was no interest. If our parents wasn't interested with one another they would have not fallen in love with each other. Interest also draws us to people. Interest is a feeling that can lead to even better emotions.

My main interest is football. In my spare time I love going out of the house and playing football.  Whenever it rains I would just watch football or watch it in my laptop. It brings me happiness whenever, the team I root for wins and whenever they lose, I feel bad. It is probably because I support them. It is probably more than my interest because I think about it everyday.

Football came to my life at a young age. I first got a taste of it when I was 8. At first I wasn't up to it, I only really became a fanatic at my 2nd or 3rd yr. of playing the sport when I was watching  a match and I saw an absolutely unstoppable rocket. From then on I have practiced y kicks to be as powerful and accurate as they can be. Today, I still play soccer but not like the rate before where I played it almost everyday. My last experience of serious training and  a tournament was last summer and since then, I have craved to play more and more. Football changed my life in a way that it was something that I remember doing from a relatively very young age.

I have a lot of other interests in life. It can be games, movies, and a lot more. Interest keep me busy when I have nothing to do. For me it is one of the best ways to unwind and relax. I also think that interests makes it easier to do things. If you are interested in learning something, you can do it better and faster just because you are interested in in it. Having a lot of interests is a good thing,It makes you learn more and know more about things.

Interest keeps me attentive. In class, I listen and understand more whenever I am interested. In movies I don't get sleepy but instead stay at the edge of my seat whenever I am interested. When I watch soccer matches I don't do other things but I just watch because of my interest in the game. When studying I focus in my book because I am interested on the things that I am studying. Interest is a very good thing to have when studying and doing other things that require focus.

Every single one of us has a hobby. It can be reading a book, playing games, watching movies and other things. Having a hobby is great because it can because it is a great stress reliever or a great source of joy. The bottom line is that having a hobby is good for you, whats yours?

Hobbies keep you occupied. Just like the definition of the word, a regular activity done in one's leisure time for pleasure. For me it is more than just that because a hobby has helped a lot of people by keeping those people away from trouble. It is probably why people in jail are given a lot of activities in order to keep them out of trouble. My hobbies has also helped me become a better person. It gave me a exercise where I would not just stay at home but I would go outside and play. In turn I just did a work out thanks to my hobby. A hobby can also be reading books. It helps people who have this as a hobby because they gain a better vocabulary and learn something new. Hobbies doesn't just give you a source of fun but it gives you a whole lot more...

My favorite hobbies are going out with friends, playing soccer, playing video games and watching soccer. These things are fun and at the same time gets my mid out of my problems. Who doesn't love going out with friends?, there are people like this but they must have a problem. It is very fun to go out with friends because of the company of your friends, It can be watching a movie, playing any kind or sport or just walking around the mall. It is still fun because of their company. Playing soccer is best when you do it with friends. I still remember the good old days when me and my friends would play soccer everyday after lunch. Those days are now gone because Abbas is a lot smaller than my previous school. Playing video games is a hobby that I don't probably do much anymore because I prefer doing other things. I now barely play any video games. My last hobby is watching soccer. This hobby only happens barely because there isn't much coverage of the games here in the Philippines. These are the thing I love doing most in my downtime, how about you?

I chose the topic hobbies and interest. I chose it because I wanted to write about my view on what hobbies and interests are. I also chose it because I wanted to write about my hobbies and interests. Thanks for reading!

My First Blog

This is the first blog I have ever made. When I heard that we were going to create a blog I was both nervous and happy at the same time. It was not the happy that is happy it was the kind of happy where I was actually very anxious of making a blog. The year before I thought about the blog as something people who are addicted to the computer do. A year ago I was not used to hearing about this things and so at first I thought it was weird. I would probably think of myself weird if I did this a year ago. So this is my first ever experience in blog making.

The topic I would like to talk about is school. Abbas is not your ordinary school. It is actually very weird if you have just arrived. I have been to 2 schools before and I can really say that, only in Abbas will you experience this. If you were studying at a different school and suddenly go to Abbas you will be in for a shock!

The first thing you would really notice is difference in people. I arrived here and the people that I have just met weren't the people that I am used to. Particularly the old students while the new students were a lot easier to be with. The first time I saw my classmates I was, to be nice shocked. The people were so over reactive especially Bea and Dennise. They were so noisy. My first impression of them was that they were very dramatic. The way they talk would not do well for them if the people they were with aren't used to them. In honesty I didn't speak too much about myself feeling annoyed by the way they talk and their personality. This was because I thought that students, who have been here a year before or more was unique. I would talk about this in my next blog because I don't think it would fit.

The school was also very different. It was very small. I could see children playing around and saw that the place was so small. I also thought that the school should be divided because some of the kids in the lower levels are kinda weird. I understand that some of them have disabilities. For me the school being small made me be around them more and there are some kids who really just annoy me.

The school had only one classroom for the whole entire classroom. It was peculiar. It was the first I have heard about  a school housing the entire high school in one classroom. The result was that you can forge friendships with people older and younger than you. It was fun because they can tell you the feeling of being their age and the things that you have to do when you reach their level. I loved this thing about Abbas.

There were also a bright side to the school being small. It made seeing the very cute children easier. Seeing them be happy makes me smile because I like cute children being happy. This was one of the best parts of having  a small school. The children can make you smile.

My first days was a very weird transitional phase. We arrived in school and then we had to work? I wasn't fully up to it at first so I used this time to get to know the people here. One of the first people I got to know was the guys because they were easier to get along with. I also wished that we had a bigger class. Abbas was definitely new.

The farm, kitchen and classroom chores was all new. I didn't like to do those things before because I was sleepy during that time and it was weird to go farming because I am sure none of us would be farmers when we grew up. I eventually got used to it.

I didn't like the sport we studied in p.e.A big reason is that this sport didn't have us go somewhere and we just did it in school. I would have actually prefer any other ball sport than martial arts. It was not the most fun of sports and it was very tiring. It would take a few days for me to get back to normal after p.e. It was not fun to have moo duk kwan for the whole year.

The term "Marketing and Coffee house" sounded alien for me. It was my first time to hear about it. Marketing was such a fun experience. We went to the wet market and we all experienced the foul smell but with it we also experienced  a very good experience. My first thought on coffee house was that we all had to sit down and talk with  a cup of coffee. I was so wrong we actually had to do something like a talent show. For me now those things are just normal.

My first coffee house was an up and down experience. We had to practice in the science lab. A very small room. It was hot and a lot of people were arguing. It resulted in people getting pist off and people crying. This made me think of these people as so dramatic because they were very sensitive. In the end we performed and it was just average if you consider us as average singers.

Marketing is one of the best experiences you can experience if you go to Abbas. I had fun going to the supermarket with classmates because it made for good bonding time. It was refreshing to eat out after marketting because we also talked with each other during eating. It was very fun.

The field trips in Abbas is the best in my opinion. Other schools go to the same places every year while our field trips are overnight and happens outside the city. We went to Vietnam and Balik Bukid and it was both memorable experiences.

Abbas is a school not as famous as Ateneo,Stella or Davao Christian but this is one school that definitely has no other quite like it.  The people, school space, classroom, activities are all part of the packages. In the end I am also proud to say that I come from Abbas.
