The thing that makes me think of United as the biggest club is the history and colossal amount of fans. United started out as an average team unlike the latter who were already top dogs and the competition in their leagues are a 2- horse or even 1- horse league. No other team in La Liga can compare with Real Madrid and Barcelona. Manchester United plays in the best league in the world and still manages to dominate the trophies.Especially since Real Madrid has had the buying of buying Galacticos (players at their prime and are elite and pry them away from their clubs). Seen with the transfers of Bale,Ronaldo,Kaka and Beckham The history especially the Munich disaster is really what made United be remembered as a club that does not give up.
